High School Teachers Can Register Students Now for the 2018 PLC Show

This year, the educational focus of the Pacific Logging Congress Live In-Woods Show will be on area high school students, which dovetails with the launch of the PLC Adopt a High School program.

The show, held September 13-15, and located in OSU Research Forest in Corvallis, Ore., will showcase both the OSU forest, as well as active and static industry displays. The sites provide an excellent opportunity for students learn firsthand about the industry and see future career opportunities.

The requirements to attend the show are few, but important:

• At the parking area, busses will be given a tour guide and hardhats. All hardhats must be worn throughout the entire tour. All hard hats must be fitted while in route to the show site.

• No open-toed shows will be allowed.

• Student should bring a sack lunch.

• Teachers must register students prior to the event.

To help us determine how many students will be attending the show, we are asking teachers to register their students ahead of time. A form for registration is located on the PLC website.

We’re excited about this year’s show and the opportunity to provide information about our industry to the next generation!
