Adopt a High School Program a Success at WCLA Safety Meeting

On January 20, 2018, PLC's Roger Smith presented Pacific Forest Foundation's Adopt a High School program to nearly 500 people at the WCLA Safety Conference. Along with the presentation, everyone received the AAHS brochure and the Washington student handout.

The response? Amazing! "It was a big success," says Carmen Smith. "Lots of people calling and talking to him afterwards and saying it was the best presentation of the day."

The Program Roger has been pivotal in the development of the program, which helps loggers recruit, develop, and retain local novice talent. The self-directed program provides contractors with new ways to present their business and their employment opportunities in a positive, professional image to high school audiences.

Anyone can download the entire program at both the Pacific Logging Congress website as well as the Pacific Forest Foundation website.
